India Post GDS Employment Overview 2025:
Branch Postmaster (BPM):
daily postal activities of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and the Branch Post Office (B.O.) in accordance with the guidelines periodically established by the Department.
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM):
The IPPB's transactions include selling stamps and stationery, transporting and delivering mail to homes, exchanging mail with account offices, and more.
Dak Sevak:
Dak Sevaks will work at departmental offices such as head post offices and sub post offices, among others.
Age Limit in India Post GDS:
- As of the closing date, the minimum age is 18 and the maximum age is 40.
- The upper age limit will be lowered by three years for candidates from the OBC category and five years for those from the SC/ST category. Age relaxation of up to ten years is available for PWD (PH) candidates.

India Post-GDS Qualifications:
(1) Passing the 10th grade (matriculation) or the minimum
secondary school exam in English and mathematics (having been studied as
elective or required subjects) from any Board of School Education that has been
approved by the Indian government, state governments, or union territories.
(2) The candidate must have completed at least secondary school coursework in
the local language, or (Name of Local Language), either as required or elective
coursework.
(3) Additional requirements include computer proficiency, cycling expertise,
and sufficient income.
Other Qualification:
- Required proficiency in the local language: The applicant must have studied the language at least through the tenth grade [either as a required or elective course].
- Cycling Knowledge: All GDS positions require cycling knowledge as a prerequisite.
- Sufficient alternative sources of income.

List of Merit for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025:
- The candidates' online applications will be used to create an automatically created merit list, which will be used to make the selection.
- The merit list will be created using the grades earned and the conversion of grades and points to marks from the approved boards' 10th standard and secondary school exams, totaled to within four decimal places. It is required that all subjects be passed in accordance with the relevant recognized board standards.
- Applicants who have both grades and marks on their mark sheet must only submit their marks. If an applicant submits an application using grades rather than marks, their application may be rejected.
- A higher level of schooling will not be given any weight.
