Qualifications:

Junior Assistant in the Secretariat:

(1) A minimum of 10+2, or matriculation plus 12th grade, or its equivalent, is required.

(2) Ability to type on a computer at a speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.

Junior Stenographer:

(1) A minimum of 10+2, or matriculation plus 12th grade, or its equivalent, is required.

(2) Stenography proficiency according to the guidelines periodically established by DOPT (dictation at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes in Hindi or English).

Application Cost:

Candidates in the General, OBC, and EWS categories will receive ₹500.

Candidates in the SC, ST, PwBD, ESM, women, and CSIR employee categories are exempt from charges.

The demand draft fee, payable at Jorhat, is drawn on any nationalized bank and is valid for a minimum of three months in favor of the "Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat."
